We are recruiting Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents for the Visa Technology Traineeship Program, a 12-month work-based learning and development program. The program brings the benefits of Visa’s expertise and ubiquity in payments and payment network technology to individuals seeking to develop their skills and expertise in this area.
Through a combination of classroom and on-the-job training, you will gain a solid understanding of the payment industry, across traditional, eCommerce and Fintech players.
You will have the opportunity to train in various Tech roles. As this traineeship requires a full-time commitment for 12 months, our trainees will receive a training allowance of SGD 3,500 – SGD 4,000 per month (depending on your total work experience) in addition to CPF contributions and other employee benefits.

Program details
- Trainees must meet the requirements of each phase before proceeding to the next phase of program.
- You will need to achieve at least 95% attendance 1 throughout the program.
- Upon successful completion of the 12-month program, trainees will be awarded the NUS-ISS – Professional Diploma in Software Development or a Specialist Diploma in Cybersecurity Practice.
¹ National University of Singapore - Institute of Systems Science (NUS-ISS) and Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) have minimum attendance requirements for their respective courses in the traineeship program as part of the passing criteria

NUS-ISS: Test Engineer and Systems Analyst(Applications) track
NP: System Analyst (Infrastructure) and Cybersecurity track

Trainees will be assigned to one of our Technology teams under one of the following roles
Test Engineer
|
Involved in building best-fit test automation frameworks, execute test cases, debug applications, manage defects and execute established test strategies.

System Analyst |
Working extensively on a wide array of technologies and building innovation solutions that ensure the availability and reliability of applications and infrastructure systems of Visa for the 24 by 7 needs of our business.

System Analyst |
Supporting and maintaining Visa’s infrastructure and network, working with leading technologies. The role also includes designing secure and reliable environments, resolving technical issues, collaborating with various stakeholders and enhancing system monitoring and automation for improved production support.

Cybersecurity Analyst
|
Responsible for the security assessment, preparation and hardening of applications and systems of Visa as well as the continuous risk evaluation, monitoring, identification, protection and prevention against malicious attacks.

The above opportunity is supported under IMDA’s Company-Led Training Programme (CLT). CLT is an initiative under TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA) that aims to accelerate professional development for fresh and mid-career professionals through on-the-job training that is aligned to the Skills Framework for ICT.

Visa’s Head of People for Asia Pacific, Goki Muthusamy, accepted the award from the President of Singapore, Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam at a ceremony in October last year.

Our Visa Technology Traineeship Program is also further contributing to expanding the pool of talent in Singapore’s growing tech industry. This 12-month work-based program, supported under the TeSA Company-Led Training (CLT) Programme, is a joint initiative between Visa and IMDA. Since its launch in early 2022, we’ve seen 113 trainees graduate and plan to train a total of 300 technology professionals by the end of 2025.

The program is a 12-month integrated hybrid learning journey, with a blend of classroom training by our learning partners (ie. NUS-ISS and NP) and OTJ (On-the-Job) training with one of our Visa Technology teams. Participants are required to attend the trainings in person at the location of our learning partners or in the Visa Singapore office.

Applicants will be invited for an online bridging course followed by an assessment. After which, successful candidates will participate in interviews with the Visa’s recruiting team and technology leaders to assess fit and suitability for the program.

Yes, trainees will be a provided a monthly stipend with medical benefits and leaves. More information will be shared once trainee(s) have been selected for the program.
